Job Title:

Casting Engineer- GSC(Global Sourcing Center)Team

Job Summary

Duties & Responsibilities

· Support GSC Casting team. Quick understand projects and parts requirements, track project schedule, coordinate with supplier on production schedule, obey that our projects are on first priority at the supplier and that they meet delivery dates
· Track order delivery. Remind supplier of any risk in advance (capacity, quality or resources risks). Perform daily workshop tours at supplier and check for IMI production parts are necessary. Review supplier's inspection-records; witness their inspections on dimensions, porosity, burr, and damages, etc. Communicate with supplier's operator directly to avoid quality issues, advise and supervise that supplier is storing defect parts separated from production batches. Coordinate with supplier's related departments if there was conflict on production capacity. Provide monthly quality report about supplier's activities.
· New sample inspection. Supervise supplier's inspection activities, check their record and witness tests. If necessary perform inspections as well (e.g. dimension check)
· New and customer complaint part inspection. Know how to perform inspections and use the inspection tools, check and verify suppliers process control, review suppliers inspection reports
· Help supplier to find product or process optimization. Perform process audits / root cause analysis to help supplier for continuous improvement.
· Help for seek new casting supplier Have experience to identify which supplier is suitable for IMI parts and recommend Casting team.

Report to: Casting team leader, in addition reports to QA Manager for all strategic quality related information

Requirements:

- Die-casting experiences is must and generally knowledge of other casting like sand casting, investment casting etc.
- Preferable Engineering / mechanical engineering background, understand E-version drawing requirement.
- Experiences on Products Inspection, knowledge of some basic Measurement approaches with the measurement tools
- Supplier management / order checking / problem solving is plus
- 3-5 yrs work experiences, college or university degree
