Job Summary:
The Regional Materials Manager will report to the SIOP & MM director in Asia Pacific and India region and has a variety of important responsibilities necessary to the transformational growth and development of Ingersoll Rand’s Integrated Supply Chain. The role will work with plants material managers to build up standard work processes for all production scheduling, materials planning, materials control, materials strategy, and all materials project initiatives, and drive lean and continuous improvement in the plant.
 
Responsibilities:
1. Develop standard work playbook processes and appropriate metrics for plants material management teams
2. Responsible for the implementation, support and compliance of the Materials standard work playbook processes and systems to facilitate the fulfillment process from production planning to material procurement and warehousing, through product shipment.Ensure optimization of all materials management activities including scheduling, purchasing, inventory control, materials movement, supplier performance measurement, warehouse, logistics and indirect materials management.
3. Collaborate with Operations, Materials Management and Global Procurement to develop the supply plan by using: business forecast, inventory position, actual customer orders, and the defined capacity parameters; while identifying and setting stretch targets for customer service and working capital.
4. Develop and track appropriate metrics to drive results and continuous improvement.
5. Champion, lead and participate key business Operational Excellence activities including VSM, Kaizens, and Rapid Improvement Events.
6. Facilitate interaction with Sourcing, Engineering, Accounting, Marketing and Quality Assurance in support of the business’s strategic goals.
7. Perform other duties as assigned.
 

Qualifications:
· Bachelor degree in business or engineering discipline (MBA desirable).
· Fluent both in English and Chinese
· APICS Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) required
· A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the integrated functions of materials management in a multi-national manufacturing environment that has embraced lean concepts, good inventory management, MRP manufacturing practices, and progressive supplier relationships.
· A minimum of 3 years’ managerial experience focusing on standardizing planning & execution, reducing sourcing complexity, and talent development.
· Experience with rate-based or flow line (non-MRP) and job shop manufacturing environments.
· Experience with visual management systems.
· Work independently with very little supervision.
· Strong interpersonal skills and work as change agent.
· A sense of urgency and a willingness to take responsibility for tasks and push the boundaries of achievement..
· Result-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility to meet team and individual goals. 举报 分享
