Job Purpose
-The primary purpose of this role is to contribute to the achievement of Company's ambition to become a leading international wine company in China by driving business development with wider market coverage and deeper market penetration. Specifically, this role will be responsible for Company's business development in Jiangsu Province, with an immediate focus on Nanjing, Wuxi, Suzhou and Kunshan
-Work closely with existing and new regional distributors in Jiangsu Province, so as to
-Increase focus and execution effectiveness on Foundation brands
-Gain new distribution for market champion and local brands
-Work closely customer marketing team to provide venue level activity support
-Develop and synthesize regional and city level market insights
Key responsibilities
-Volume and Profit / Operations
--Responsible for monitoring and evaluating distributor performance, addressing any key areas of opportunities to ensure the delivery of objectives
--Responsible for achievement of distribution targets & volume growth as designated by channel and brand, through effective distributor management and, where appropriate, through direct account management to end customers
--Responsible for educating and partnering with customers to ensure adequate understanding and awareness of Company brand direction & effective selling techniques; ensure distributors understand the consumer/customer proposition for each product and are best equipped to influence sales that most effectively impact growth
--Responsible for ensuring all customers trade within agreed trading terms; address issues of non-compliance to trading terms whilst still maintaining an effective relationship with customers
--In collaboration with distributors, responsible for making sure that sales are made to customers under agreed trading terms
--Responsible for achievement of net sales revenue per case (NRPC) and gross margin objectives
--Identify ad hoc below-the-line programs to drive volume within agreed budgets; continually seek opportunities to drive growth and consumer engagement with company products
--Responsible for continually working to enhance Company brand/product presence at outlet level
-Channel & Customer
--Responsible for developing and maintaining a strong understanding of market channel and customer segmentation, and use knowledge to ensure customer focus on providing the right mix of products portfolio (brand/sku) aligned with the channel/customer segmentation, so as to drive better business planning and performance
--Responsible for developing close working relationships with distributors and key customers to accelerate sustainable growth, and to ensure Company is best able to capitalise on growth opportunities in the field
--Responsible for developing detailed activity plans to drive performance in collaboration with distributors and key customers
Qualifications
-Minimum - University degree in Business, or a related discipline
Experience
-Significant Sales or Business Development experience, 5+ years of relevant working experience gained in an FMCG, particularly food and beverage organization
-Demonstrated ability to create and implement sales plans
