The Company
Our client is a leading global manufacturer and supplier of diversified construction/mining equipments.
It is a set-up of an IPO located in Suzhou, with target of 1.2 billion USD annual sourcing volume in 2012, covering sourcing, supplier development and commodity management in China region. To 2015, the total annual sourcing volume will target to 2 billion USD.

Position Description
Several positions for different categories: Hydraulic & Powertrain, Engine & Accessories, Hardware & Trim, Petrochemicals, Casting & Machinery and Planning.
These positions entail the effective sourcing of components used in the manufacturing or sales of the company's products. The components range from raw materials, such as steel, to hydrostatic pumps, to complete products. Maintain assigned accounts. Partner with sources that will provide the quality, price and timely delivery required to meet company's requirements. Provide guidance to their peers.
Supplier Management
-This individual will be responsible for strategic development of their assigned suppliers.
-Extensive travel is involved in the establishment of sound relationships and the verification of suppler capabilities.
-This individual must keep abreast of market conditions and changes within the supplier's organization that may affect our relationship.
Cost, Quality & Delivery Improvement
-Buyers must educate themselves with regards to commodities they are responsible for and maintain a good working knowledge of products.
-Buyer works with all the facets of the organization to achieve various metrics.
-Must support the supply chain to ensure adequate flow of materials to the operations at the right, in the right amount.
-Alignment of strategic goals with the organization
-Achieve annual productivity goals
New Product Development Support
-Support the organization on all new product development programs and value analysis/value engineering programs.
-Ensure that appropriate product launch plans are in place during the NPD phases including aftermarket.
Position Requirements
-Bachelors Degree: Business Administration, Engineering, or related field
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-Must be able to communicate with everyone within an organization from persons on the shop floor to CEOs of major corporations.
-Must practice good judgement which allows the individual to commit to the most appropriate action after considering alternate courses of action.
-Must have leadership skills which will allow the buyer to persuade others to also accept this action and help implement the action plan.
