Application Center Asia


Job Description
As Application Developer for the Application Center in Asia, you will be part of our Asian Hub within the Global Projects organisation. We have the responsibility to design & manufacture fixtured nutrunner systems and other such applications such as torque reaction arms and software solutions. Our customers are in China, Korea, Japan and South East Asia.

This position is responsible for all protocols/IT activities which include:

? Communication protocols
? Local adaption of software
? Networking, database management systems and the setup of server systems
? Programming Atlas Copco Products with regards to threaded fastening
? Programming PLC
? Test & Debug
? Documentation


Mission
Your mission is to develop specific communication protocols/IT solutions, and to design, program & test individual projects to produce high quality customer solutions.

You will be responsible for:

? Analyzing customer IT/Electrical protocols/specifications and check their feasibility
? Designing and developing project specific hardware and software applications
? Estimating the development costs and the lead times for the implementation or modification of customer specific protocol adapters
? Being the link between the R&D department in the Swedish headquarter and the local Proposal Engineers and marketing teams
? Threaded fastening program and theory
? Programming of the Atlas Copco fastening control system
? Programming of any internal or external PLC systems
? Providing consulting and installation support for Atlas Copco IT solutions like ToolsNet, TLS or Open Protocol
? Developing and maintaining our ACA Position Recognition System
? Supervising Test & Debug of our equipment at supplier or on our workshop floor

This position reports to the Engineering/Workshop Manager ACA, within the Motor Vehicle Division.


Experience Requirements
The successful candidate should have experiences in:
Object-oriented software design based on UML, Practical knowledge of Rhapsody is beneficial
Programming language C++, APIs and the use of libraries
Client/server architectures based on UDP/TCP socket connections
Software development under Microsoft Windows and Linux
Oracle and SQL Database configuration & maintenance


Education requirements
Bachelor or Master of Science in software, computer or electronics engineering with a strong focus on software design, alternatively a comparable degree in any other engineering or mathematical, natural science with an adequate working experience in software design and development
Fluent (spoken & written) in English & Chinese (Mandarin)
Swedish is not a must but beneficial


Knowledge
Knowledge of Motor Vehicle and/or General Industry segments is a plus
Understanding and interest in customer applications
