Installation & Programming Engineer

Job Description

As Installation & Programming Engineer for the Application Center in Asia, you will be part of our Asian Hub within the Global Projects organisation. We have the responsibility to design & manufacture fixtured nutrunner systems and other such applications such as torque reaction arms and software solutions. Our customers are in China, Korea, Japan and South East Asia.

This position is responsible for Installation and Programming which includes:

? Programming Atlas Copco Products

? Programming PLC

? Supervise Installation at Customer Site

? Test & Debug at Customer Site

? Final threaded fastening program

Mission

Your mission is to Install, Program & Test individual projects to produce high quality customer solutions utilizing Atlas Copco standards and best practises.

You will be responsible for:

? Programming the Atlas Copco Controllers using proprietary software

? Programming PLC functions

? Understanding customers electrical specifications/protocols

? Understanding local government electrical codes

? Debug of fastening program on customer parts

? Debug of pneumatic circuitry

? Debug of mechanical scope-of-work

? Supervise Installation at Customer Site

? Working closely with Project Management Dept

? Working closely with Mechanical Engineering Dept

? Working closely with Production Control Dept

? Supervise Test & Debug of our equipment at supplier or on our workshop floor

This position reports to the Engineering/Workshop Manager ACA, within the Motor Vehicle Division.

Experience Requirements

The successful candidate should have experience in electrical controls and programming

Experience in industrial/automotive assembly

Education requirements

Engineering Degree in Electrical Engineering

Fluent (spoken & written) in English & Chinese (Mandarin)

Knowledge

Knowledge of Motor Vehicle and/or General Industry segments are a plus

Understanding and interest in customer applications

Analytical problem solving skills

Personality Requirements

Good communication skills

Team player, good interaction skills

Sense of urgency

High level of drive and an open-minded personality

Customer oriented attitude
