Primary Role:
The role is accountable to ensure an optimal berthing line-up and manage vessel speed to meet pro
forma reliability of MCC operated vessels calling for all ports within scope including follow up
inspection cooperation, sludge handling and provision / supply delivering between involved
stakeholders and vessels.
It is also accountable for daily cargo execution task including follow up proposals of emergency
handling and complex operation decisions for best and efficient operation outcome of MCC operated
vessels calling for all ports within scope.
The role consists of local counterpart communication, operating procedure, measuring performance,
and engaging process improvement with various stakeholders which are required to produce higher
levels of performance.
Job Responsibilities
? Liaises with terminal operator to ensure the most optimal berthing line up for incoming MCC
vessels and manage all ETA communication to vessels in geography scope.
? Engage with all stakeholders in chain including headquarters, terminals, pilots, agency, and
local authority to secure timely vessel departure and better productivity.
? Coordinate documentation handover, delivery/redelivery formalities, inspection cooperation,
sludge handling and provision delivery, terminal monthly schedule report, etc.
? Monitor day-to-day cargo execution and participate in service delivery / Deadline / KPI
agreements with our internal customers.
? Preplan transshipment/Clear long standings/Tight connection.
? Coordinate vessel stowage planning and cargo operation.
? Follow up contingency / ad-hoc exception handling relating to cargo and marine execution
when required.
? Suggest innovative and savings plan and drive continuous process improvement project
Position Specifications
To qualify for the position, the ideal candidate should have the following educational backgrounds,
technical qualifications, broad level of experiences and following personal traits:
? Bachelor Graduate.
? 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in the fleet or liner operations or terminal operations is a
plus.
? A basic understanding of vessel operations, navigation technology and marine engineering is
plus to the position.
? Good verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese.
? Self-starter with initiative and strong execution force to influence multiple stakeholders.
? Can work in a challenging and changing environment dealing with a lot of different and
urgency incident at the same time.
? Good understanding of AP Moller Maersk container business process and system.
? An outgoing and convincing personality and a sense of urgency, result orientation and
constant care.
? Convenient to work in a cross function role with different level of hierarchy internally and
externally.
? Able to standby 24x7 on duty in off office time .
Technical Skills
? Microsoft office family.
? Preferably has good understanding and experience with AP Moller Maersk system.
? Possess basic understanding of marine planning and execution.
