JOB DETAILS
Job Purpose
Efficiently and effectively manage the Procurement function for the CSM organization by following established processes and guidelines, for material & services procurement by interfacing with the Project teams, Contract and Consulting team, Operation team, Proposal team as well as with vendors/suppliers, sub-contractors

Key Responsibility
He/She is responsible for following the globally consistent processes, methods and systems, and policies and guidelines relevant to the procurement function across the GRC CSM organization to ensure the highest quality at the lowest cost at the right time, meeting the agreed specifications for all project procurement of material and services.

DO

? Responsible for executing the purchasing function across GRC CSM that is consistent with the Company’s guidelines.
? Create a competitive advantage for Rockwell Automation across GRC CSM by providing superior service to internal customers.
? Collaborate with AP Procurement Manager to optimize purchasing power and procurement practices across the whole GRC CSM Region
? Following established procedures and guidelines, performs a wide variety of procurement related activities for assigned project & proposal teams.
? Develop guidelines for supplier selection that is consistent with company standards.
? Identify, develop, evaluate & manage vendors, suppliers, sub-contractors to provide products and services.
? To evaluate suppliers based on cost, quality, service, availability, reliability, and selection variety.
? To analyze the vendor quotes and map these to the projects requirements – to able to use appropriate tools / methods for decision making.
? To analyze periodic spends from procurement perspective based on product and vendor / manufacturer classifications and generate reports for management.
? Develops the procurement team to drive towards successful and productive execution of the function.
? Understands broad organizational systems and processes. Foster improvement of those systems and processes that guide the delivery of the services related to the global CSM business.
? Provides overall support services to all CSM teams that include purchasing and procurement of material and services.
? Support the Company’s Strategic sourcing initiative and implement where feasible to achieve overall advantage to Company
? Works with SSO manager to implement established policies/directives for increasing productivity to achieve competitive engineering costs and lead times through standardization and implementation of common practices.

OVERSEE

1. Allocate and supervise the operational activities of the supporting procurement staff across GRC CSM ensuring effective utilization.
2. Frequently participate on continuous improvement teams to determine methods, standards and process improvements to reduce cost of procurement.
3. Frequently interact with vendor personnel to assure progress to meet requirements.
4. Ensure the following of processes and guidelines by the procurement staff
5. Ensure timely resolution of purchasing and related issues that affect customer satisfaction.

? Understanding the customers requirement specifications – technically and commercially, and be able to apply them appropriately in the procurement process
? Have a good degree of analytical capability to be able to analyze the supplier’s quotes / proposals meeting the desired requirement specifications.

? Be able to collaborate and team effectively in a cross functional and / or virtual environment.
? Exhibit and demonstrate a high level of ethical integrity in dealing with suppliers / vendors.

 

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS / WORK EXPERIENCE
(Education, qualifications and experience requirements an employee must have)
? Diploma / degree or above in a technical field or equivalent knowledge.
? Advanced Knowledge / proficiency skills in computers / IT tools preferred
? 5+ years of experience in an industrial systems / solutions delivery business or company.
? Basic business acumen with the ability to work in and lead teams.
? Technical and commercial experience with a degree of supplier / vendor interaction.
? Good level of Analytical ability to be able to apply them in decisions / reporting
? Prior project management and application engineering experience preferred.
? Highly capable to motivate himself/herself and others.

CSM FLT Manager, CSM AP Proposal Manager, CSM Operation Manager, CSM Contract and Consulting Manager, CSM AP Proposal Leader, CSM Business Manager.
