Background:

· Rudolph is the world’s #1 supplier of optical acoustic metrology equipment and a leading innovator

emerging advanced

· We are looking to expand our currently successful team in Tianjin and form a new team to design
and develop

· Innovative solutions for our metrology systems.

· This technical management position will be responsible for building and managing the team, interfacing
with other team leaders in Tianjin as well as the Software Group Manager in the USA.

· The position will require some travel to customers and to headquarters on an as needed basis.


Responsibilities:

· Manage all software development activities in Tianjin for MBU tool-centric and server-centric product teams.

· Collaborate with USA team on definition of metrology software architecture & development roadmap.

· Contribute to definition of Rudolph software development process & practices.

· Decompose system requirements into software development activities.

· Deliver software on-time, on-cost & on-quality in accordance with Rudolph software development process & practices.

Ability to:

· Quickly gain in-depth knowledge and understanding of metrology tool platforms from systems perspective.

· Rapidly analyze, document and resolve issues reported by internal and external customers.

· Effectively engage with customers and address their concerns, valuing face-to-face communication.

· Clearly present data, analysis and conclusions to peers and management.

· Precisely write requirements, functional specifications, test plans and white-papers.

· Effectively communicate with a diverse global software team.

· Carefully balance risk and creativity.


MUST HAVE REQUIREMENTS

· MS Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from a state university

· Two (2) years or more managing a software team (code base > 500k lines) of at least 4 software engineers

· Five (5) or more years of current Windows development experience in the following areas:

o C#, C++/CLI and .NET framework.

o C++ , STL and design patterns

o Developing user interfaces

o Database development / MS SQL

o TCP/IP and RS-232 communications

· Experience with .NET unit test frameworks or similar.

· Experience working in a structured software development environment, preferably Agile SCRUM software.

· Experience working on electromechanical and/or embedded systems.

· Knowledge of current Microsoft technologies: WPF, WCF, LINQ and VS2010.


NICE TO HAVE REQUIREMENTS

· Semiconductor experience or experience working on other high tech capital equipment.
