Position Focus:
Support Lear China profitable growth with providing reasonable fairly competitive cost target and support and achievement/improvement.
Job Description:
? Overall responsibility to China target material/tooling cost.
? Leading costing team working with cross function team to support RFQ by delivering sound costing data on time.
? As key member in JSC in program sourcing phase, supporting purchasing/PM team to achieve target cost, as well as target for and engineering changes.
? Support Purchasing to do shadow costing for negotiation with supplier to get business benefit.
? Work with purchasing to maintain material/tooling cost data base of China programs.
? Deploy the “should be” cost model for various commodities, working with purchasing/suppliers to continuously improve the keys assumptions of the models including rates, processes, raw material index, etc.
? Review & validate the cost estimates from integral project teams.
? Support industry and R&D to optimize the choice of technology, materials and manufacturing process. (Design-to-cost).
Qualification:
? Bachelor degree with technical education background
? More than 10 years working experiences and at least 5 years related work experience in multinational auto part industry
? Ability to combine tech knowledge with manufacturing knowledge and finance knowledge
? Business thinking, active proposals for cost effective product design
? Self-motivation and interpersonal effectiveness (cross-departmental relationships)
? Plan, organize and prioritize multiple tasks within a defined time period
? Good command of English and Chinese.
