WHAT YOU’LL BE UP TO
 
As the role of Retail Director China, you will be responsible for the total offline business for Daniel Wellington in China, and report to General Manager Asia. To be the in-market Brand Expert. You will be responsible for developing both wholesale and retail. Initially your focus will be to map the existing distribution and execute set retail strategies for the market. On an everyday basis, focus will be to maximize sales and develop the market to its full potential. Daniel Wellington’s aim is to be perceived as one truly global brand, and the role therefore also includes a focus on ensuring that our brand standards are translated to the Chinese market.
 
As a Retail Director China, it is important to drive operational excellence and demonstrate inspiring leadership and continually work to build strong relationships with our authorized retailers. The role includes responsibility of budgets, reaching sales targets and defined goals.
 
WHAT YOU’RE GREAT AT
 
You are amazing at managing your priorities while working with multiple stakeholders in different departments and different areas of China. You have strong leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills, as well as strategic thinking and a creative mind.
· 5-10 years of experience of working with retail business in light luxury or fashion industry
· Experience in wholesale distribution is a stong advantage
· Understand and communicate organizational objectives and make decisions that align with Company priorities and values
· Develop a strong team to deliver outstanding results
· Encourage team to build long-term relationships with customers to drive business
· Focus and Executional Excellence
· Relevant educational background.
· Strong communication and influencing skills.
· Proven ability to drive business initiatives.
· Strong negotiation skills and experience in building strategic plans.
· Experience of developing and leading a high-performance team
· Great analytical skills
· Fluency in Mandarin and English both written and verbal is a must.
