Purpose of Role
Project Manager, Inland solutions, handles projects and client communication for IT solutions used by Contract Logistics and Joint Ventures in North Asia. This includes applications that are used by both internal and external users. He/she and his/her team are the primary contact for all Contract Logistics' IT external customer enquiries and RFP processes, and also for projects internally initiated to deliver solution enhancements for CL or JV. He/she takes the accountability for client requirement studies, overall solution design, ensuring the solution is developed according to requirement by the IT teams and implementing that solution including the training of relevant staff. He/she also acts as the global URG/SRG member for inland solutions to represent Contract Logistics in North Asia.

The main responsibility for the Head of Contract Logistics Business systems

1. Align with regional stakeholders to ensure our CL/JV solutions align with our strategy within reasonable cost, functionality and SLA.
2. Develop solution roadmap based on the requirements of Contract Logistics and its clients, working with the NAS IT team for delivery.
3. Develop and support a standard engagement process for customers (internal and external) for CL system enquiries and actively promote the products available. This will include sales support for the product and innovation in solution design.
4. Ensure project management and deliverables is conducted and aligned with CEN and NAS CPO standards and drive continuous quality improvement.
5. Ensure delivery and implementation of WMS solutions in NAS including roll out project management, set up of training and user guides in cooperation with NAS IT team. Hand over to IT with appropriate signoff.
6. Act as the escalation point with CL customers for IT related enquires, external and internal support issues.
7. Participate in URG/SRG member for North Asia for CL applications.


Main Tasks

1. Manage costs and solution pricing in accordance with the governance agreed with the CIO and Head of Inland Solutions.
2. Drive client solution projects to meet customers' end to end process requirements and ensure that project solutions are delivered within budget and accordance with specification.
3. Ensure NAS CPO standards are followed in our daily work. e.g. using Focalpoint to manage change request and project support documents are timely prepared and archived in team site.
4. Proactively improve our business process by looking at new opportunities and deliver enhancements to solutions through close cooperation with other business systems teams, the BPI group and the IT teams.
5. Ensure all solutions are supported within SLA and ensure the routine tasks are handed to the IT teams on project completion. Ensure effective management of the escalation of any issues.
6. Market CL IT product within the organization by providing guidance and introductions to KAM, Sales and BPI.
7. Drive the product roadmap through the U/SRG and regional stakeholders in alignment with the systems strategy. Manage system change requests in accordance with the CR lifecycle.
Enablers for success - knowledge and experience
The position owner needs to have experience in IT products and technology as well as insight in warehouse management systems. He/she needs to have a good understanding of Contract Logistics services and operation and how same are executed in our origins. Experience with project management and ability to adapt the operation process to system solutions are the keys to success.

Enablers for success - soft skills
Biggest success criteria in this role are strong project management skills and be able to communicate with all the stakeholders and roles in the project. Solid understanding of how to turn business requirements into functional specifications and promote integrated solutions is essential.

As the role is client facing then you will have to show a good presentation and communication skill with which you will be able to convey a message in a clear and structured manner, both by written and oral communication.
