Job Description :
Lead the strategy and plan of GCG server and hosting services (include GNA, AHE, GHO, GSA, infrastructure & departmental servers) to ensure alignment with global standards, and meeting GCG business requirements.
Support Global / GMU initiatives including Smarter Planet, GMU IT Innovation Initiatives. Make contribution to pilot projects and suggestions as appropriate. Leverage GMU Innovation initiative to drive new technology initiative deployment to China in support of China Growth and Geo expansion.
Manage the strategy and plan for IBM social collaboration and Digital IBMer deployment in GCG. Develop Workplace of the Future and Mobility offerings services for GCG (include Lotus Traveler, Sametime, Connections, Blackberry, mobile VPN) to enhance the employees' productivity and drive cost efficiency.
Periodically rethink and refine the GCG IT Strategy to align the IT strategy with the business strategy, and to craft out the strategic vision, programs and roadmap.
Plan the IT budget in the area of Server/Hosting/Innovation/Mobility to ensure proper allocation of funding to support the business growth, maintain the service quality, and execute the new programs in alignment to GCG IT strategy. Provide technical expertise and interlock with GCG and GMU teams to ensure accurate budget planning, excellent execution, and timely update.
Control project spending to achieve planned budgets, and agreed/accepted challenges. Provide recommendations to assist BT&IT Management in prioritization of investment and ensure spending in line with business imperatives.
Identify and implement cost improvement initiatives to reduce the on-going cost on provisioning of the infrastructure services.
Manage the IT infrastructure service provider, and execute timely refresh and capacity upgrade of the infrastructure to achieve committed service levels for on-going services. Lead the interlock with BT&IT and IGA competencies leaders as well as the project teams to ensure timely provision of the data centre requirements to service delivery teams to provide sufficient space and power for the projects.
Review the SOR/SOW from Infrastructure Architect to ensure the proposals have fully considered the GCG requirements and existing situation. Provide guidance to the project managers to achieve expected outcome.
Unfold the business model for China strategic hosting platform at BJ AHE/GHO. Leverage on the platform to assist the Business Units to deploy their applications and migrate their departmental servers to the standard hosting environment.

Effectively communicate the use of the innovative technologies to IBMers, and participation in showcasing/communication the use of these technologies to customers and other 3rd parties.

Bachelor's Degree
At least 7 years experience in Infrastructure
