Managing Director , West China Cluster-for a global 3PL freight forwarding company

For our client, a multinational freight forwarding company, we are looking for highly skilled professionals to lead the West China Sales teams. The positions are based in Chengdu, and cover markets such as Chengdu, Chongqing, Xi'an, Wuhan, Kunming, etc.
Reporting to: Managing Director, Central China Cluster
Location: Cheng Du, China

Responsibilities
? Holds direct P&L responsibility for all The company business activities in West China
? Accountable to manage, develop and expand the logistics business, providing direction and leadership to ensure profitable growth with satisfactory cash flow
? Establish service standards that facilitate market leadership in target sectors
? Optimize the utilization of business assets and human resources in accordance with the logistics business strategy and local business environment
? Implement KPI's to monitor productivity of staff. Drive 95% + performance in both operational and financial scorecards
? Collaborate effectively with all relevant internal and external parties for the best interests of the The company China business and the group as a whole
? Develop personal relationships with key strategic clients to ensure business retention and growth
? Enable and facilitate the provision of services that meet or exceed customer expectations
? Provide leadership and management of the logistics team in the cluster
? Work with regional and global stakeholders to agree business targets, discuss performance and understand local market dynamics
? Represent and promote The company with all necessary local trade associations, government and regulatory bodies
? Lead the annual business planning and budgeting processes to develop aggressive but realistic plans that support the agreed strategies and targets
? Ensure that appropriate operational, commercial and financial KPI's are employed across the business to provide timely and effective reporting to support day-to-day management of the business
? Actively champion and promote improvements in the organization
? Drive strategic investments in country to support the continued growth, profitability and sustainability of the business
? Ensure all global and regional policies and procedures are effectively implemented
? Ensure key opportunities are appropriately resourced and positioned with clients for closure.

Requirements
? Minimum 10 years industry experience in international forwarding and logistics.
? Commercially astute with excellent business acumen
? General management experience
? Experience in a commercial and/or operational role (preferably both)
? Fluent in spoken and written English & Mandarin
? Knowledge of the West China business and logistics market
? Works on own initiative and sets the organizational agenda
? Facilitation and coaching skills
? Customer-facing and interaction skills with high-level of customer orientation
? Sound negotiation and influencing skills
? Demonstrated leadership skills
