Key Responsibilities:
support engineering test and technical team members to determine what product testing is required and sign off products to production
oversee testing or development activities to ensure appropriate resources are utilized efficiently and safely to achieve project objectives
prepare clear and concise technical documents including reports, presentations and instructions
oversee development of new methods of evaluation aligned with improved efficiency or product technical development
articulate engineering principles to products reliability, apply fundamentals and mathematical models and theories to engineering issues and to solve problems
define test standards and loading for laboratory durability tests based on vehicle field (road) life duty cycles
design experiments of comparison and experiments of evaluation, analyze data
test equipment and people management
analyze warranty data, identify trends
Key Requirements:
min m.eng in mechanical engineering
min 8 years of relevant experience
experience with testing and experimental methods for automotive components
skilled in preparing and giving presentations
experience with cumulative damage models and fatigue failures
strong expertise with analysis of statistical distributions, in particular Weibull analysis
able to work independently
