AHK is looking for a Marketing Research Coordinator who will provide critical support to the Marketing team’s lead generation programs by managing internal and external data to develop market product and customer maps in support of developing insight and actionable recommendations. Ultimately the goal is to identify profitable market or customer segments leading to robust customer lead generation for which the Business Development Managers either globally or within China will take forward.
We are seeking an individual with strong data management skills and who values process, logic and organization. The right person for this role is a stickler for detail; is analytical and has a thing for numbers (or at least is not intimidated by them), along with a dose of commercial common sense.
Note: This is a desk role but will require substantial data mining internally or externally and as such requires frequent calls to market data houses be they internal or external and as such professional presentation and at times confidentiality are a must. It is not a sales role and customer contact is not part of the role.
Responsibilities:
Work with the Business Development Managers to supply current and relevant business intelligence.
Assist with lead generation programs from planning through execution
Prepare market product and customer maps along with fact based data research papers
Vet, normalize, and process identified program lead lists
Maintain CRM system, including database cleansing, account maintenance and program auditing
Identify and measure Marketing/BDM Qualified Leads
Act as liaison to the AHK China Marketing team, communicating program activity and results and supporting them on adhoc market analysis / customer requests.
Track and analyze ROI and effectiveness of programs
Prepare and Present post-campaign measurement and results via formal reporting
Development of detail specifications or enhancements for database tools that address business information priorities, based on in depth market analysis, including the identification and leverage of data sources in the market.
Meet regularly with supervisor to review work, discuss project status, concerns, and seek guidance
Identify key conferences to attend and support attendees to arrange meetings and supply them with required business intelligence to be able to ensure high value clients and or stake holders are identified and approached.
Takes ownership in the management and creation of marketing material in line with marketing team direction.
Qualifications:
Chinese national with sound English language proficiency a prerequisite.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or other related field from an accredited university
2+ years of experience in a data-oriented role, preferably within a marketing team
Exposure to Big Data tools and methods.
Self-starter with a keen attention to detail, and excellent follow-through
Possess strong logic skills to critique data gathering, data analyses, and research methodologies
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to use standard Microsoft programs effectively -advanced proficiency with Excel a plus
CRM experience
Able to work independently and also collaborate well with colleagues across a variety of functions
