Mission
- Improve warehouse utilization through capacity forecast and bin management.
- To depict the balance of workload and resource availability and help to manage demand variability.
- To schedule and organize rework to avoid negative impact on posting catch.
- To support product on-time launch through regular update, tracking, and monitoring the arrival status, thus providing alert/solutions.
- To even out the peak and valley of the inbound arrival and shorten the lead-time from arrival to delivery to avoid the overcapacity of both receiving and storage.
Key Responsibilities:
Planning
- Storage capacity planning:
- Storage utilization optimization, practical advice to operation team for inventory movement.
- Proactively identify over-storage situation and proposal to mitigate potential risk.
- Expand DC storage capacity to maximum with solid analysis and in-depth understanding of DC layout, MHE capacity, location, zone and picking phases.
- Bin management including analysis, system adjustment and monitoring/controlling;
- Reporting and analysis: operation daily/monthly performance analysis and pre-alert; planning KPI analysis and reporting; data master maintenance in system.
- Important role in reporting tool enhancement, system functional upgrade.
- Rework task planning for special project by coordinating with cross-functional teams.
- Inbound capacity planning:
- Mid-term: inbound forecast for the next 2-3 months based on the latest PO arrival updates with continuously monitoring;
- Short-term: arranging daily inbound tasks by communicating with factories/3PL based upon booking or CIQ updates to ensure PO on-time arrival and even out the receiving workload;
- Strengthen control over supplier and 3PL to improve inbound delivery.
- Optimize shelf put-away, update/adjust inbound plan to provide alert and be accountable to mitigating storage overcapacity risks.
- Wholesale Take back:
- Daily arrangement, arrange take back arrival base on transportation lead time, DC capacity and business requirement.
- To work with transportation team to mark sure all the available shipments could be arrived at DC before finance cut-off time
- Keep close monitoring shipment inspection, sortation, put away and order call-off progress.
- Give clear instruction to DC operation team the priority of each activity and provide pre-alert to related teams and management team to draw their attention.
Financial
- Cost-effective view during daily operating task.
System and Processes
- Develop SOP, WI and User Manual
- Excellent on both physical operations and system in WMS to enhance process control and order management. And make proposal to planning process through evaluation.
Training and Development
- Develop training document for cross-training within team so as to continuously improve professionalism and productivity
- The responsibilities are not limited to the above; the job holder will also follow other work assigned by his/her immediate supervisor.
KPI
- KPIs in aspect of DC storage forecast and risk mitigation.
- On Time Delivery and On Time Shipment for all customer category and all channels.
- KPIs in term of forecast vs. actual for all product divisions and all channels.
- Key controlling points in DC operation processes.
Experience / Skills Required
- 3+ years of directly related experience in logistics (experience in sportswear industry would be a plus).
- Experience in term of PO delivery and supplier/3PL communication.
- Solid knowledge in logistics transportation.
- Must have a strong analytical skill; be sensitive to business figure/data.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations is required, experience in WMS or capacity planning System (SAP AFS and Manhattan).
- Strong communications externally and internally across multiple functions.
- Be able to perform multiple tasks under time constraints.
- Competency with Excel, Word, PPT, Access and MS Project is required.
- Bachelor’s degree; fluent English and Mandarin.
- Stable personality, Customer-driven orientation, Teamwork
