Role purpose
-To work with sales team to formulate and execute promotion plan to further grow and improve the possibility of foodservice business.
-To organise effective trade promotional activities to back sales
-To control promotion activities spending
Role accountabilities
Major Activities
Manage the delivery of high potential new business development initiatives for the China Foodservice business
-Drive new application and recipe development projects with key customers (KAs and TAs) in the region with National Channel Marketing Team, sales team and tech team
-Manage all facets of project feasibility, evaluation and commercialisation, including identification and recommendation of in-market processing options, where that is required
-Lead development of the sales and marketing plan for the project working closely with local sales team;
-Fully support national bakery team on TA trial model in the region activities.
-Support Marcomm team on market activities and events in the region; and support NPD team on new product launching trial in the field market.
-Provide required reporting on project activity to the relevant stake-holders as required
End Results
-Deliver the results i.e. revenue, margin, or volume on new application and recipe development projects
-Project milestones are met within the agree timelines
-Coherent sales and marketing plan is in place to support the product launch
-Project is managed within agreed process
-Plan is executed against agreed deliverables, and successfully handed over to the sales team
-Key stake-holders are clear on project progress and milestones
Competencies
-Trade marketing: Able to establish the channel marketing function as an integral part of sales and marketing execution.
-Sales systems and information: Develop strong analytical skills using sales information system.
-Sale & channel strategy: Works consultatively to produce a clear sales strategy for key accounts.
Qualification & Experience
-Education: Bachelor holder, major in Marketing or related commercially focused discipline is preferable.
-Experience: 5-10 years in sales and marketing roles in multinational consumer goods company or B2B food science, including not less than 3 years manager role in trade marketing field or B2B food science; Successful in trade promotion experiences;
-Technical/Functional Expertise:
-High level of negotiation skills in terms of being able to plan and conduct effective trade reviews and tactical and strategic implementation of plans;
-Good command of computer skills i.e. Windows application
-Strong Inter-personal skills and sensitivity to different cultures are essential at all times and ability to work in a challenging market environment is a must.
-Excellent communication and presentation skills.
-Fluency in written and spoken English, Mandarin;
-The sincerity and trust worthy of the candidate to protect the company’s interest is essential.
