Title: Head of Architecture, Asia Pacific
Location: Dalian
Reports To: Head of Global Architecture


Purpose of the Role

This role is being positioned to oversee technology architecture in Company’s Asia Pacific region, and manage the rollout of our global architecture strategy and solutions across all regional locations. You will be expected to be the lead across various APAC portfolios and position them well for embracing the global ways of working and standards. You will be expected to help establish the correct architecture/solution design towards the delivery of a simplified landscape to serve the needs of the business in the region.

You will be a part of the broader global architecture organisation and expected to adhere and contribute to the common architecture reviews and policies. You will be expected to lead the creation of global capabilities leveraging the resources available locally and globally. You will also provide leadership and continuity to the development teams from a delivery perspective.

Key Responsibilities

? Lead the evolution of the regional architecture practice in line with overall needs of the global practice.
? Understand, advocate and support COMPANY’s enterprise wide IT strategies; Provide leadership and support for our global technology strategy drivers across our landscape.
? Create optimal governance structures across regional and global technology and business stakeholders
? Define and own the architecture for the regional portfolio of applications
? Develop road maps describing the evolution of all application portfolios from current state to desired future state, including the new global set of applications and services
? Undertake constant review of the current state to establish candidates for simplification, modernisation and consolidation with an aim to deliver overall reduction in total cost of ownership in line with the objectives outlined via our strategy.
? Ensure adherence to architecture standards and best practices within the portfolio
? Define models, including solution patterns, to guide solution decisions for the enterprise.
? Facilitate the evaluation and selection of software product standards, as well as the design of standard software configurations.
? Consult with application or infrastructure development projects to fit systems or infrastructure to architecture, and identify when it is necessary to modify the solution architecture to accommodate project needs.
? Document all solution architecture design and analysis work.

Experience and Qualifications Required

? Experienced technology professional who has run architecture capabilities, preferably in the financial services industry
? Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments.
? Good interpersonal skills, including teamwork, collaboration, facilitation and negotiation.
? Excellent analytical and technical skills.
? Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Need to be able to translate technology into business language
? Excellent planning and organizational skills and delivery of business value
? Knowledge of business re-engineering principles and processes.
? Ability to translate business needs into solution architecture requirements.
? Ability to estimate the financial impact of solution architecture alternatives.
? Ability to apply multiple technical solutions to business problems.
? Ability to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies
? Strong written and spoken English; Mandarin highly beneficial
