PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Sr. Technical Sales Manager leveraging his technical knowledge in the composites field, explores and develops customers in the field of regional technical fabric business. He/she advises and reports the business and customers’ development to China TF sales manager. This is a key position in the Sales Team, responsible for managing and delivering Sales strategy and activities in order to grow and improve business results.
Reports to: China TF Sales Manager
Span of Control: No direct reports
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Live the Safety stand, adhere to the safety responsibilities
Provide leadership in safe working practices, promoting safety awareness and performance for self and others in all areas of responsibility to achieve full compliance with site and company standards and guidelines
? Lead and support safety initiatives and processes in the team to drive towards zero recordable injuries.
? Live the Safety Stand, adhere to the safety responsibilities
? Draft a personal safety action plan and deliver on all commitments
Metrics
? Implement a personal safety action plan
? Safety metrics –first aids, near misses
2. Knowing Our Customers and Delivering Technical Support to win in wind
Lead by having an intimate business insight and knowledge of customers, their businesses, what is necessary for the customer to be successful, and the differential value that our current and future products, programs and deliver to the customers.
? Analyze market, competition and customer situation to find the opportunity
? Make good use of company resources to provide solution to customers
? Contribute to the development of the strategy for both near and long-term which is realistic and deliver the stated objectives
? Develop existing customers with new solution
? Clearly define customers’ FFU and meeting expectations through working with operation and CTSO team
? Fast response to customers on supply, quality and technical issues, manage complaints with speedy root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions
? Promote developed products to potential customers
? Work independently and aggressively to reach the target
? Pull together regional team at a proper timing and lead team to reach more achievements.
? Develop comprehensive sales plans for key accounts
? Generate and develop relationships with various functional people in key accounts
? Qualify new products, assist in process improvement, follow up and close opportunities at key accounts
? Track and update demand forecast of individual customers in monthly Zemeter forecast tool
? Follow-up and ensure seamless execution of orders and payment collection
? Coordinate and communicate cross-regional information with global & regional sales team
? Lead in identifying and driving TCO initiatives resulted in meaningful cost reduction at both customers and OC
Metrics
? Recognized sales record in volume and GM
? Quantity of new business at new customers being developed
? Quantity of long term relationship customers
? Execute sales plan (budgeted volumes/commercial conditions) at key accounts
? Magnitude of cost reduction improvement
? On time payment and Perfect Order Rate
3. Directing Operations
? Quotation handling and contract negotiation
? Ensure proper Supply Agreements are in place for businesses
? Customer Master data gathering,
? Enable the Perfect Order process,
? Support Finance in solid credit management,
? Manage proper complaint handling follow up,
? Customer satisfaction measurement,
? Manage and assess the distributors operating in designated area
? Steer after sales customer service activities
Metrics
? Effective agreement/contract/order acceptable by company and customer
? Control of over-due receivable
? Solution to customer complaint
? Customer satisfaction
JOB REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
? Bachelor of Science degree
? Solid background in Technical Fabrics is preferred
EXPERIENCE:
? 5 to 7 years of technical/commercial experience in the field of composites
? Possess good project management and problem solving skills and have previous experience in working in multi-cultural/multi-functional team effectively
? Experience in negotiating complex deals with various functional people to reach an expected sales model
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
? Basic understanding of Business Administration (knowledge of marketing, finance, technical and legal aspects of a business)
? In knowledge of industrial marketplace e.g. economic situation, customer requirements, technological developments
? Contract management and negotiation
? Margin enhancement advocacy
? Customer needs and opportunities assessment
? Value selling & communication

? Composites Technology Expertise
? Good English and Chinese language skills, both written and verbal.
