Qualification:
1. junior college
2. At least 3 years prior supervising experience
3. Knowledge and experience with International companies.
4. Familiarity with Business Management, Quality, Production Engineering, Production Engineering primary job responsibility
5. Skilled in team member training and managing
6. Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and decision skills
7. Exposure to 5S management and driving continuous improvement
8. Team player, good at coordinating with cross function to achieve goals
9. Can work in shift
10. Fluent English, both oral and writing
Job Description:
Daily Management:
1 Permanent presence on the shop floor: Daily contact with all team members. Spend at last 90% of each day coordinating the team
2 Ensures Discipline and rigor (work wear, break times, working hours…)
3 Coach team members in how to perform their role
4 Manage headcount: time registration, plan people allocation…
5 Perform tasks consistently to the Work Instructions and ensures corrective actions are taking place
6 React in case of a problem: Flag up critical job delays that will cause deviation to the standard process and 24 hour mould cycle to the Area Manager
7 Guarantee the quality standards of all the finished goods and work in progress produced during the shift
8 Act as source of technical knowledge for his team: support and help to fix problems
9 Ensure the respect of safety instructions, policies and procedures
Performance management
1 Monitor performance and report accurate data on the visual control boards
2 Review in detail the last blade performance, quality and cycle time trends
3 Understand key cycle time milestones and targets
4 Track time management of team members and ensure adherence to budget man hours
5 Track raw material and consumable usage and recommend measures to reduce costs
6 Track cycle times using tracking sheets against 24 hour cycle time
7 Complete record of tasks completion
Continuous improvement
1 Know team problems, seek
2 Define area for performance improvements
3 Drive teamwork and problem solving activities, lead problem solving groups and workshops (5S, Hoshin, Kaizen,…)
4 Feedback to Production Area Managers information on lessons learned
5 Identify and contribute to the implementation of Work Instruction changes
Development of the team
1 Participate to selection and recruitment of staff
2 Ensure proper induction of new team members on the line
3 Monitor team performance
4 Manage annual performance interview for all team members
5 Plan development of the people: Promote training requirements for dedicated team members, job evolutions
Communicate actively
1 Ensure proper flow of information to and from the team:
a Conduct daily Start of Shift meeting and identify any potential job delays at the mould visual control board
b Communicate performance status at the daily Production meeting (management by walkabout element)
c Support end of shift performance review and develop recovery actions as required
d Create effective shift handover notes
e Rapid cascade of critical information and messages from the management
Health, safety and Environment and working conditions
1 Ensure full respect of HSE rules and regulations
2 Responsible for immediate stopping of production in case of safety risks
3 Maintain mould area in a tidy condition, put tools in proper area, keep working area free from hazards
