Job Summary:
Responsible for the daily procurement activity within an Integration Center Supply Chain Department. The position provides leadership to the Procurement Leaders and Specialists, ensuring compliance with procurement procedures and ensuring all transactions are done in line with agreed terms and conditions seeking maximum value for the company including agreed time and cost.
Previous Experience and Competencies:
- Bachelor in Supply Chain, Engineering, Manufacturing.
- Preferred minimum experience of 3 years in Supply Chain, Manufacturing or Finance.
Relationships:
Direct Report: Center Supply Chain Manager or Procurement Manager
Functional Report: Procurement Manager
Cross functional relationships: Maintains a close working relationship with Finance and Manufacturing.
Key responsibilities
- Executes resource and procurement activity planning to support the Center in meeting its objectives
- Executes and owns the procurement plan for purchased items in accordance with product line master schedule
- Participates in production plan reviews and demand formulation with customer service and production
- Enforces and monitors procurement procedures
- Sets action plans for improving lead time, cost reduction and on time delivery
- Reviews, updates and maintains Open Purchase Orders until closed
- Monitors and proactively manages past‐due Purchase Orders
- Maintain purchasing parameters for “buy” items
- Reviews, analyzes and controls Non‐BOM Purchase Orders to ensure correct approvals and to track actual expenditure against plan
- Reports Purchase Order statistics to the Procurement Manager
- Identifies factors that have an unfavorable financial impact (Purchase price variance and work order variances), and works with appropriate stakeholders, Supply Chain Leaders and
- Manufacturing Engineers, to identify resourcing opportunities
- Participates in regular financial and inventory reviews with the Procurement Manager.
- Reviews and resolves MfgPro record discrepancies, invoice and Supplier non‐conformances
- Ensures Center adherence to Schlumberger approved Supplier agreements/contracts
- Supports Finance and Logistics Managers in resolving reception and invoice discrepancies
- Identification and implementation of continuous improvement activities within the Supply Chain Department
- Participates in internal and supplier audits under supervision of the Procurement Manager
- Responsible for delivering a top performing workforce
- Identifies opportunities and implements actions to continually reduce wasted time, money and resources form assigned tasks
- Complies with all Schlumberger, EMS and local procedures applicable to the job function
- Employees may be assigned other duties, in addition to, or in lieu of those described above, according to the needs of the location or Company.
Specific deliverables of the position
- Accurate preparation, release and closure of Purchase Orders to fully support the on time activities of the Supply Chain Department.
- Tracking and reporting of Open Purchase Orders
- Reduction and elimination of past due Purchase orders
- Investigation of non‐conformances and active management of remedial work plans to prevent reoccurrence
- Compliance with all Schlumberger approved contracts and agreements
- Team compliance with all training and certifications requirements
