Sales: Responsible Sales engineer / Dry cut strand , Maag & Scheer
Responsibility / Task
Sales responsibility for market area China / might include also KAM responsibilities for Strand pelletizers dry cut from Automatik and Scheer, including auxiliary equipment such as pumps, screenchangers, Filters, Diverter Valves
Organization
Incorporated in organization Maag-Automatik China, Shanghai
Reporting
Reports directly to Area Sales Director China (Louie Chen)
Location
Working place in China: Shanghai or Guangzhou Maag-Automatik office / customer visits at customer locations; support during exhibitions & seminars.
Sales task
- Active search and follow-up of extrusion & compounding projects (new equipment, new plants, revamps).
- Coordinates with major engineering & OEM’s companies within the specified region.
- Build up a tight relationship to Key Accounts / builds relation with key officers within the customer
- Focus on order income according AOP (annual operating plan / budget broken down to the specific , dedicated region)
- Reports, requests for adaptation of delivery time / selling price through sales Director China (Louie Chen)
- Actively follows crossselling of all Maag-Gala-Scheer products in case of not full technical training on a specific product, generats technically complete RFQ and forwards / transfers to the dedicated manufacturing location.
National / Internal coordination
- Reporting to Sales Director China
- active coordination with sales support department with HQ / manufacturing location for non standard applications
- assist in case of open questions on offers and orders the sales support team in with HQ / manufacturing location; coordinates between with HQ / manufacturing location & customer
- supports & service with PM’s in HQ / manufacturing location
- coordination & participation via reports such MMR, Project list (must be completed on daily / weekly base) & updated (coordinates if needed to sales analyst (D. Christen Maag Switzerland through sales Director China) on monthly base
Participation in meetings
- sales meetings in China on demand of sales director Maag China
- Reports / requests market demands and trends to Sales Director China (for processing with the PM & MT Marketing – in the specific manufacturing sites Maag, Scheer)
Marketing support
- support / indicate needed sales documentation
- supports marketing in view of articles / reports
- requests marketing activities via Sales Director China
- Active influence (presentation) during symposia or international exhibitions
- Active support / maintenance of agents network; if needed propose adaptations and changes in the agents organization
Task to train
- supports training of customers & agents in coordination with marketing & VP sales

Educational Background / Minimum requirement
Educational background
- Process or Chemical engineering, Mechanical engineering or Electrical engineering, minimum level BsC or manufacturing / production engineer in a compounding operation
Commercial background
- 3-5 years experience as sales engineer / sales responsible for capital goods. (volume 0.5 - 2.5 M Euro)
Language experience
- Native Chinese, English fluent in writing & conversation,furhter language skills appreciated.
Industrial background
- Experience in the plastics, petrochemical, chemical industry is a must / of advantage
Organizational experience
- Experienced to work in a matrix organization and culturally close to western culture (US or European)
Personal skills/demands
- High willingness to travel is a must
- Ability to easily build-up a relationship network with (potential) customers
