Retail Banking and Wealth Management (RBWM)
Retail Banking and Wealth Management leverages HSBC’s global retail banking expertise and wealth management capabilities to deliver a broad range of world-class retail banking solutions to millions of customers. Driving for growth in key markets around the world, the business comprises areas such as retail banking, wealth management, insurance and asset management, with a focus on customer-centric propositions and innovative and efficient distribution channels that will differentiate our customer experience and deliver market leading retail banking and wealth management solutions.
We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.
In this role, you will:
A Collections BO Manager oversees operational performance and minimizes risks for their area/function, whilst ensuring compliance with operational policies, procedures and practices. They are responsible for leading performance at a departmental/functional level. Where applicable, a Collections Manager will leverage the performance of Collections BO Associates and Collections BO Specialist – transferring/enhancing skills and knowledge, increasing engagement and role capabilities. A Collections BO Manager is responsible for optimizing the efficiency and effectiveness of their area/function, establishing and managing the internal/external operational activities required for delivering positive, sustainable outcomes for our customers across a variety of financial products in line with defined conduct standards and credit loss plan.
Accountabilities:
- optimizing the efficiencies and effectiveness of an assigned area, identifying opportunities to improve true customer-centric performance, addressing work-related problems and sponsoring beneficial change in order to achieve the best solution for our customers and the organization.
- ensures the timely remediation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators, evidences TCF principles are at the forefront within all business practices and ensure decisions are made with the customer at the heart of everything we do.
- Deliver fair outcomes for our customers and ensure own conduct maintains the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets
- Gathering information about work activities, checking on the quality of the work produced and evaluating the performance of individuals and the effectiveness of all elements of the team and the wider unit.
- for developing their team’s capabilities in a way that transfers desired skill and knowledge and gains commitment for continuous performance improvement
Qualifications
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
Knowledge/Special Skills Requirements:
• University Graduate, master degree preferred
• Proficient capability of English and Mandarin (listening, speaking and writing). Cantonese listening and speaking is a definite plus.
• Good PC knowledge and skills (Windows, MS Office, etc.)
• Comprehensive knowledge on collections back office operation of credit cards, personal loans, or mortgage loan products and familiarity with relevant system.
• Good operations and interpersonal skills and sensitive to daily operations risks.
• Leadership and team coaching and management experience
