Level 2 Desktop support services are defined as resolving technical problems for CUSTOMER employees. Specific duties to be undertaken by the Associate are defined as:
Hardware Maintenance
Associate will coordinate with hardware vendor to provide hardware maintenance services and will provide support to the typical types of hardware to be supported including:

Maintain computer servers: daily operation, troubleshooting, daily backup, new software / upgrades / patches installation, etc.
End user technical support and coordinating, including PC, printer, scanner and other peripheral hardware maintenance.
Basic LAN and WAN support under the guide and instruction of CUSTOMER IT team
PABX related basic support, such as end user phone setup and test according to the instruction of CUSTOMER IT team.
Provide problem diagnosis and coordinate the hardware equipment maintenance Associates which are appointed by customer for fixes, repairs, replacement and provision of equivalent loaner equipment.

Desk-side Software Support
The Associate on-site engineer will:
Assist in implementing software corrective actions in those cases.
Perform software diagnostics on behalf of the end-user
Obtain and relay information to a centralized support facility in those cases that the end-user lacks the technical knowledge to do so.

Associate will provide the first line application system support and coordinating, responsible for issue reporting (to higher level IT), follow-up and feedback (to user).

The typical type of software to be supported includes:
Standard Client Operating Systems
Windows 7 Enterprise
Windows XP Professional
Standard Office Applications (Standard Build)
Microsoft Office 2003 & 2007
All standard and major general office automation application, such as Lotus Notes R6 and Symantec Anti-Virus
All standard and major general file compression and self-extracted application
Other Standard Software and Utilities
Network Management and Support
Associate will provide network support service for customer and the service will include the followings:
Network problem happen to the desktop and laptop
Basic network (LAN) trouble shooting
Provide problem diagnosis and coordinate with the network hardware equipment maintenance Associates appointed by CUSTOMER for fixes, repairs, replacement.
Assist with fault finding and problem solving in network problems
