Responsibilities
? Work with all areas of the business to identify business requirements and process improvements to facilitate their elaboration into functional, technical and operational improvement opportunities.
? To provide industry best practice documentation of requirements and business process improvements ensuring a consistent approach to delivery and notation across the business analysis team.
? Working as part of project teams, specify and manage development and implementation sub-workstreams, including management information, testing and user acceptance, to ensure that requirements are delivered as agreed.
? Keep up to date with relevant technology issues to offer proactive solutions to internal customers.
? Drive the effective adoption of IT solutions by ensuring that their impact on business capabilities, business processes, and the customer is fully defined and in line with business and IT strategies
? Ability to communicate effectively to both internal IT teams and external solution suppliers to ensure successful systems integration and clear documentation of end to end business processes (technical and non-technical).
? Work with all levels of the Group business on a regular basis from senior management to individual end users.
? Planning and delivery responsibility for sub-work streams, as agreed with stakeholders, to support the delivery of the business solution. Group responsibility requires limited travel within the Group as required to provide consultation, agree priorities, or resolve issues with the local change initiatives.
? Delivery of solution artefacts to agreed timescales, clearly articulated both in written and verbal communication to ensure successful implementation of business requirements
? Work as part of project teams, with responsibility to specify and manage delivery of required software developments within agreed project milestones.
? Champion, lead, monitor and embed a culture of strong internal control and risk management throughout your areas of responsibility.
? Ensure that control deficiencies and risk impacts are escalated so that root cause analysis can be performed and remedial actions taken.
? Comply with the information security policy and procedures.
? Comply with all regulatory procedures applicable to the role.
? Report any information security incident, weakness or malfunction.

Requirements
? Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and to key stakeholders.
? Ability to plan and understand impact of changing demands on plans & resources for both business process and technical changes.
? Customer orientated, with excellent business acumen and client facing skills.
? Ability to challenge and prioritise business requirements acting as the voice of the business where required.
? Understanding of the systems development process and overall project lifecycle using both Waterfall and Agile approaches.
? Good analytical skills, able to proactively contribute to major business change.
? Self-motivated, open to ideas, able to influence others.
? An affinity and enthusiasm for learning new skills and new subject areas.
? Ability to document complex concepts in a clear and concise manner
? Experience working as a business analyst utilising both Agile and Waterfall approaches.
? Experience in Business Process Modelling, UML, Prince 2, Agile, Scrum and Waterfall
? Experience of data modelling or relational database design.
? Knowledge of Internet/Intranet technology and terminology.
? Experience of business process improvement using formal methods such as Six Sigma
? Experience of working within a financial services/call centre/insurance business.
? Educated to degree level in any discipline or relevant experience in a similar role.
? Partial or full ISEB accreditation in Business or Systems Analysis
