Otis will build a new elevator test tower in Shanghai as part of a new global research and development facility that will be home to 600 engineers. Planned at approximately 270 meters in height, the new test tower is anticipated to be the tallest above-ground test tower in the world upon completion. The new facilities are scheduled to be operational by the end of 2018.

The new test tower, together with the R&D facility, will support development of new technologies for use in elevators for versatile market segments, delivering higher efficiency and smaller footprints, as well as superior safety, comfort and convenience for passengers. The Shanghai center will work with a global network of experts and have global exposure on assignments.

- Responsibility
? Develop the roadmap of product data structure to improve the design efficiency
? Define and standardize the product data structure
? Identify the issues of design tools (EDS, JDE and their interface tools), and develop standard approaches
? Manage the product parameters, including but not limited to collecting requirements, organizing the discussion, consolidating the results and providing the training
? Support design engineers to fix data structure issues from design end to downstream

- Education background
? Mechanical engineering/Machinery Manufacturing & Automation
? Bachelor degree with 8 years working experience or master degree with 5 years

- Related working experience
? At least 3 years of product design experience
? Experienced in developing the process and standards
? Skilled in the software tools, such as AutoCAD, Cero, Excel, Powerpoint and etc.
? High energy and passion for working with product data
? Elevator or escalator experience is preferred
? Excellent communication and team skills required
? Good interpersonal and leadership skills
? Excellent Chinese and English communication skills for speaking, reading, and writing
