Job Summary:
- Be accountable for product management for mechanical door hardware product portfolio across Asia Pacific
- Responsible for maintaining a profitable and growing product platform - new products through product end-of life.
- Working with channel marketing and sales to drive dramatic growth.
- Working with finance, engineering, and supply chain to drive annual margin improvement.
- Working with market research to keep on consumers' needs and trends, and reflect them in the product line.
- Someone who can formulate, articulates, and drives change strategies.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible developing and executing on the Product Roadmap. They also include gathering and verifying customer requirements for specific NPD, productivity and innovation programs.
- Ensure that new product positioning, pricing, cost, margins and quality targets support the overall mechanical door hardware product portfolio strategy and direction. He/she will also support commercialization (both internal and external) for these programs.
- Initiate and support assigned product business cases for new development and sourcing programs.
- Consider implications on broader system initiatives and ensure smooth integration with the overall product systems strategy by coordinating plans with the other product managers.
- Actively manage assigned products, identifying and promoting growth opportunities
- Work closely with the program manager and cross-functional product development core team to deliver on time and within budget, new product introductions for assigned products. Take ownership of the product line and all commitments to the business.
- Coordinate plans with market research team to obtain consumer insight to drive product innovation.
- Define the customer "Critical to Quality" specifications (CTQ's) for assigned product and associated system strategies. Represent the "voice of customer" on product development teams to assure marketing objectives are met.
- Collaborate with sales, channel marketing and strategic marketing to insure proper messaging, positioning and channel execution
- Development and timely delivery of product announcements and other marketing information and materials.
- Identify training and support material needs and coordinate development.
- Drive productivity within the assigned product portfolio through VA/VE activities including product tear downs, value stream mapping and gap to excellence events.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor degree or above in Business, Economics, Marketing, Engineering, etc.
- At least 5 year experience in product management, with totally more that 10 years experience in Security Door Hardware business.
- Fluent oral and written English and Chinese, oversees experience preferred.
- Good communication and cooperation capabilities.
- Proven people management experiences.
- Strong technical skills / Strong analytical skills
- Excellent communications and presentation skills
- Strong relationships with functional organizations (engineering / sales / operations / finance / etc) with ability to influence different groups
- Ability to integrate business, marketing and technical elements with door hardware application
