Designation:
Position: Account Manager
The Account Managers primary job is to target and gain new business.
He/She is a HUNTER, characterized by a high activity level, willingness and ability to meet customers and identify opportunities for the company and pursue such utilizing the company’s CRM system.
The Account Manager furthermore retains & further develops existing customers in close corporation with customer service and management.
The Account Manager utilizes the CRM system to control his/her pipeline, schedule meetings and monitor development.
Reporting Line:
Report to: Sales Management
Direct subordinates: None
General Responsibilities:
Achieve the yearly targets which will be setup together with Management
Build a strong pipeline in Sales Force
Detailed Responsibilities:
Build up and maintain a pipeline in Sales Force in accordance with company guidelines
Minimum sales meetings per week, as per company guidelines (subject to change)
Gain new business and new trade lanes from existing customers
All activities on new, existing and potential customers including service lines must be listed in Sales Force
Plan sales activities in advance so ensure efficient and effective time management.
Weekly presentation of pipeline and activities using Sales Force (dashboard) to management
List account information, contact details, meeting schedules, opportunities and service lines as well as visiting reports in accordance with company guidelines.
Claim customers timely and in accordance with company guidelines
Establish strong relationships to customers as well as colleagues
Submit monthly expense reports in accordance with company guidelines
Responsible for assisting in collecting of payment from customers in accordance with company guidelines
Share relevant market intelligence with product and sales management to ensure consistent competitiveness
Involvement of product specialists, customers service, RDMs or/and management.
Other tasks assigned by management
Communication:
Internal – Commercial Team (RDM, Sales, Tender, KAM, Customer Service & Implementation), Product Management & Finance
External – Customers
Qualifications & Characteristics:
Self-Managed, Result Driven & outgoing personality
Business minded
Good communication and organization skills
Ability to communicate industry related information to people outside our industry
Diplomatic, influencing & trustworthy
Ability to define requirements, analyse facts, and determine relevant solutions/actions to be taken
Extrovert personality with strong relationship building capabilities
Energetic & proactive
Working Conditions:
Working conditions, hereunder hours and requirements, may be above normal office requirements.
Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening working hours (as needed)
