Responsibilities:
The Field Service Engineer is a key player in almost every company delivery. This includes everything from managing installations of new equipment to advanced trouble shooting, suggestions on spare parts, up-grades and services to be conducted.
Tasks: The Field Service Engineer will independently manage company scope of delivery at customer sites. This includes technical supervision of installation, commissioning and service as well as reporting and communicating with both customers and head quarters.

Additional roles:
- Technical sales/ sales support, Technical support to customers on phone/remote connection and e-mail.
Context:
The Field Service Engineer is part of the In Service Support organization (ISS) with colleagues both in Sweden and the US. The field service engineer works closely with both other Field Service Engineers, System Engineers, Mechanical Engineers as well as project managers.
Reporting and Relationships:
The Field Service Engineer reports to the Manager of Service and Support. In specific projects, he/she will report to an appointed project manager. At customer sites, the FSE is the company interface towards the customer so managing customer relations is an important part of the work.
Expected results & challenges:
The FSE will manage the site part of a project through the stages of planning, managing hired
contractors when needed, secure technical performance of the equipment up until customer
acceptance and handover. The same goes for the Service and/or up-grade of older equipment
Experience
Previous relevant experience:
- A few years of experience from technical/engineering roles is needed. Experience
from control systems is an advantage.
Additional qualifications:
- The ability to travel and stay at customer sites for shorter or longer periods (from a few
days up to a few months) is needed.
Education:
B.Sc. in Mechanical/ Fluid or Electrical engineering.
