Business
? Supports business deliverables through enhancing procurement effectiveness.
? Establishes clear deliverables for Procurement targets (procurement savings, supplier performance, supplier quality, and supply security)
? Establish and execute a clear Agribusiness strategy that delivers a competitive advantage and mitigates risk for Ingredion. This includes determining best growing regions, driving yield improvement and cost reduction, and managing risk related to weather, mycotoxin and GMO.
? Work with the authorities and other key stakeholders to increase scale of waxy corn farming, quality improvement, complexity, sustainability and cost reduction
Agility and Innovation
? Drives enhancements in procurement practices to drive performance.
? Provide regular market expertise and insights into developments in the agriculture industry; and any potential opportunities and risks
? Provide corn market trends, insights, data, and analysis to assist with annual budgets and better-than-market costs for the procurement of grain
? Lead a team to work with seed cookmpanies in pioneering the most advanced waxy corn hybrids in China
? Execute the China Sustainable Agriculture strategy
Relationships and People
? Coach and develop procurement and agricultural teams to perform at high levels
? Advise and consult with farmers on optimum planting, management, harvest, sustainability and storage conditions
? Deliver frequent updates on changing Agricultural regulations and provide proposals to Ingredion on how best to manage/adapt
? Develop and leverage networks with key government officials, associations, and industry leaders, to advance business plans
Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements:
? Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in an agricultural or technical field and with a minimum of 10+ years experience in related roles.
? Business Acumen – able to connect the dots between insights, curiosity, and industry dynamics for business advantage
? Functional Excellence – should have a very good knowledge of the Chinese Agricultural and Corn Grain Industry
? Networking & influencing – comfortable and effective at communicating with multiple stakeholders at different levels
? People management – leading, coaching and supporting a small team
? Language - fluent in both English and Mandarin 举报 分享
