About the client
Our client is a Wholly Owned Foreign Enterprise headquartered in Europe, providing fasteners, fastening systems, drawing parts, hand tools, power tools,lifting equipment, and operating equipment for Automotive & Industrial customers.
An opportunity has arisen for Head of Sourcing in China Branch, base in Shanghai.
About the role
Head of Sourcing - China Branch
Reporting Line: General Manager & Head of Purchasing (in HQ)
Strategic and operational responsibility for all sourcing activities of the China Branch.
Development and implementation of:
? professional sourcing strategy, in compliance with the company sourcing strategy and rules
? professional sourcing processes
? supplier evaluation processes and supplier management, incl. supplier rating, quality assurance, contract and claim management
? Identification and implementation of sourcing driven rationalization potential and efficiency increase
? Market analysis for standard, special ,drawing and industrial parts
? Supplier relationship management
? Identification of price trends considering raw material prices and the situation of basic materials
? Development and implementation of a professional reporting
? Support of global sourcing team and sourcing teams from other countries
? Human resource management of the purchasing department
? Reports to general manager China branch as well as to Head of Purchasing in HQ
? Member of global sourcing leaders board
Qualifications & skills required
? Bachelor degree or above, major in Engineering, Automation, Supply Chain or equivalent
? Experience in the field of fasteners and/ or industrial parts
? Experience in technical trading or manufacturing of fasteners and industrial parts will be preferred
? English proficiency: both written and spoken
? MS Office (Word, Exel, PPT)
