Job description
The System X Brand Sales Specialist is a client-centric leader who sells IBM System x hardware offerings via business partners and direct to customers . The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying sales opportunities, driving progress through the pipeline, and applying their knowledge of their assigned portfolio to resolve customer business problems, leveraging the support of the extended IBM Team. The successful candidate will develop account plans for their assigned customers and also build and maintain appropriate industry skills in order to advise their client's on solutions which will solve their business problems.
The successful candidate will have a comprehensive knowledge of the System x discipline's offerings and will be responsible for the success of those offerings within the business unit. This professional leads opportunities with a focus on winning System X busines. Has in-depth sales, business, and professional skills to work with any level of customer or IBM Business Partner. With a perspective beyond this professionals opportunities, this professional provides input to sales objectives and strategies for the business unit and is able to assume additional responsibilities as assigned.
Desired Skills:
Can work under pressure, and accept frequent business travel
Minimum of 3 years work experience with Intel server hardware related Sales
Experience with complex and high end server solutioning e.g. High Performance Computing
Fundamental knowledge on Storage (NAS, DAS and SAN), Tape technology
Fundamental knowledge on Infrastructure solution such as, backup, replication, systems management, virtualization, etc.
Strong Intel server knowledge with good sales/business acumen
Client focus with Business Partner relationship management experience
Bachelor or above degree, majored in computer science or equivalence preferred
Bilingual communication skills in Chinese and English
Excellent communication and Presentation skills
Customer insight and selling skill
