Novolife is a leading biotech company based in Beijing. Specializing in immune cell and stem cell therapy, it partners with universities in the UK and China on projects involving genomics, immunology, iPSC, cell differentiation in cancer, cardiovascular and degenerative diseases. The company provides high quality clinical treatments in renowned hospitals in China. Novolife is seeking a Bioinformatics Project Manager to lead our bioinformatics team in cancer genome sequencing and diagnostics analysis.
Job responsibilities:
1. Plan, develop, coordinate, and manage various projects in cancer genome sequencing and diagnostics analysis.
2. Develop, integrate, and streamline bioinformatics pipelines for large scale genomics data analysis.
3. Communicate, support, and feedback with our staff scientists in sequencing and diagnostics platforms in China.
4. Provide technological training for both existing and new staff.
5. Explore new applications in sequencing technologies, including tests of new data types and software tools.
Essential Skills
Educated to a PhD level in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a computational related area with 1-3 years of post-doc experiences;
Highly skilled in C/C++ programming under Unix/Linux; NGS high throughput data analysis
Experiences in large scale scientific computation/simulation;
Project management experiences;
Desirable skills
Perl and/or Java, Python programming skills;
Knowledge in sequencing technology and/or genome biology;
Database design/administration;
Cancer genome analysis
Salaries are within the range of 250,000-500,000 CNY/pa (1 sterling pound = 8.60 CNY), depending on qualifications and experiences.
