Network Engineer

Job Summary：
  
This position is responsible for the support of network infrastructure and execution of network infrastructure projects. As part of the network and telecom team, this position will work closely with peers and customers to ensure that service level agreements are met. This position will provide expert technical knowledge and problem solving for all network infrastructure matters.
 


Responsibilities:
 
1. Owns stewardship of the network infrastructure equipment and services.
2. Identify, diagnose, and resolve network problems
3. Provide L4 support and handle priority one calls
4. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented networks
5. Implement network infrastructure projects
6. Work with service providers and vendors to ensure highest level of network service
7. Execute project plans as part of a team
8. Provide support for global infrastructure with 24 X 7 availability


Qualifications:
 
Knowledge and Skills:
1. Must have a thorough knowledge of current Cisco voice and data network solutions
2. This position needs to collaborate with the different service area teams (desktop management, communications, service desk and supplier management) to ensure geographic support needs and service requests are met.
3. This position is responsible for the integrity and availability of the global network environment.
4. Able to configure network devices
5. Able to configure and deploy Cisco IPT
6. Understands WAN routing fundamentals and protocols
7. Understands LAN switching
8. Able to perform network basic network diagnostics and troubleshooting
9. Able to participate in LAN/WAN refreshes/deployments as a team member
10. Able to work with FSE’s when collaborating on networking tasks
11. Has basic vendor specific certifications is preferable
12. Able to perform VoIP basic diagnostics and troubleshooting
13. Able to perform basic diagnosis and troubleshooting of routing protocols
14. Able to configure and troubleshoot basic ACL’s
15. Able to participate in VoIP refreshes/deployments as a team member
16. Able to participate in router refreshes
17. Understands telecom Infrastructure to build solutions.
18. Able to manage large projects and site moves.
 
Experience:
 
A minimum of 5 years IT experience in the following:
1. Supporting large, multiprotocol, international WAN
2. BGP routing with Service provider and EIGRP on switching.
3. VPN solutions that include B2B, remote access for employees, and DMVPN
4. QOS traffic prioritization
5. WAN traffic optimization using Riverbed appliances
6. Enterprise multicast solutions
7. Internet egress solutions
8. WAN monitoring, Net flow analysis
9. Deploying Cisco IPT via H.323 and/or MGCP
10. Deploying and supporting enterprise wide LAN and WLAN solutions
  
BE-Electronics and communications / relevant field with 8+ years’ experience / Diploma in electronics and communication with 9+ years’ experience. Cisco CCIE certification is preferable.
