Specific Duties & Responsibilities
1. Full acknowledgement of the latest Purchaser Order (PO) and approved SUPPLIER’s inspection documents.
2. Attendance of the Pre-Inspection Meeting (PIM), if applicable.
3. Coordination with CLIENT and/or CERTIFYING AUTHORITY on all inspection activities
4. Communicate with SQM QC Engineer and/or SUPPLIER’s inspector in a professional manner to effectively prevent and solve problems.
5. To perform the inspection that the equipment and material are being manufactured in accordance with the approved Inspection Test Plan (ITP), PO and project specification.
6. Review of SUPPLIER’s inspection records and/or reports
7. To issue inspection report within 2 days after each visit, and distribute to the SQM QC Engineer, highlighting any specific action required. (such as punch list with non-conformity items)
8. Controlling the inspection results such as punch list with non-conformity items, Inspection Release Certificate (IRC), etc.
Competencies/Skills required
1. Good written & verbal communication skill (English).
2. Needs to have working knowledge of PC based.
3. Ideal applicants must be self-motivated, flexible; delivery focused and has a ‘can do’ positive attitude.
4. Willing to travel frequently.
5. Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Welding related.
6. Solid experience in an international EPC company or NOTIFY BODY such as SGS, TUV, Moody, BV, etc is highly preferred.
7. 10+ working experience, at least 5 years experience as an inspection relevant position for a similar business field (Pressure vessel experience preferred).
8. CWI/NDT/NACE qualification will be preferred.
