report to: IT Manager and a foreigner
Key quirement: excellent oral english + familiar with ProE or CAD/CAE
Engineering Application Support (IT Analyst)
As an IT Analyst, you will have the opportunity to work both independently and with a cooperative team on complex projects that may span multiple infrastructure components or applications. You will develop your professional network and leadership skills, assisting in the creation and support of IT Solutions that enable Caterpillar success.
Further, you contribute real value by developing, integrating, and/or supporting in-house and purchased applications or infrastructure solutions in order to solve business problems.
Other duties may include but are not necessarily limited to:
Working directly on engineering application / technical problem identification and resolution, including off-shift and weekend support functions;
Participating in integrated testing and user acceptance of application or PLM infrastructure components;
Working with vendors on the integration of purchased application(s) and/or infrastructure; and
Designing and implementing processes, or process improvements, to aid in development and support.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors in engineering with a 3+ years work experience or associate with a minimum of 5 years work experience in engineering applications administration and support.
Prior experience with Teamcenter, Pro/Engineer, Abacus, Ideas etc.
Excellent analytical skills, good communication skills, customer focus, initiative and aptitude for working in a technically challenging environment.
Programming knowledge in C/C++ or JAVA or VB, or ASP.Net. Applications and utilities development experience with engineering applications is an added advantage.
