Amazon China is looking for a motivated individual with strong analytical skills to join our Supply Chain Fulfillment Experience (FX) team. In this position the successful candidate will be responsible to improve FX metrics like on-time delivery, delivery speed and fulfillment cost, supply solid data analyzing support for business decision, automate routine metrics, able to do problem shooting& data validating independently and support ad hoc work from management. As a member of the Supply Chain Team, you will partner with other team members in Supply Chain organization, fulfillment centers, transportation, Customer service, Seattle Technical team, Retail and Finance to drive fulfillment experience improvement from process and system. Keys to success in this role include exceptional analytics, statistics, judgment, and communication skills. The candidate will be able to extract insights from data and be able to clearly communicate appropriate triggers and actions.
This position will be responsible for:
- Own FX metrics management, lead metrics root cause analysis, present to senior management team and take proactive actions to improve fulfillment experience.
- Data mining and analysis to uncover trends and correlations to develop insights that can efficiently and materially support fulfillment improvement solution decision.
- Execute business analysis project and Ad-hoc supply chain analysis, as well as fulfillment experience operation excellence improvement project. Work closely with supply chain PM for big imitative project which lead to best fulfillment experience for Chinese customers.
- Provide support on long-term supply chain planning
- Continually improve ongoing reporting and analysis processes, automating or simplifying
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or equivalent
- 3+ years of demonstrated quantitative and qualitative analysis experience with impact to a business, a track record of strong problem solving, and the desire to build new processes or analytics models.
- 3+ years experience working with large-scale, complex datasets analysis projects
- Experience with supply chain management concepts - planning, fulfillment optimization, logistics
- Experience communicating with senior management as well as with colleagues from both cross business functions and global technical team effectively.
- Proficient in Excel and SQL
- Deadline driven, team player, with strong customer focus
- Detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow through on issues
- Strong verbal and written English and Chinese
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or Master degree in Engineering, Logistics or other supply chain related field
- Self-starter, possess flexibility to work in a fast-changing environment and ambiguous situations
- Prior hand-on experience with Lean and/or Six Sigma analytical techniques is highly plus
- Basic familiarity with advanced statistical and operations research methods
- Experience with building data analysis and decision support modeling
- Intermediate knowledge on Perl, Unix/Linux, Visual Basic, or other programming languages or statistical languages like R/Stata/SAS etc
