Sales Engineers
Originally founded in Sheffield, England, in 1913, Dormer is one of the world’s foremost producers of solid carbide and high speed steel rotary cutting tools.
Our core product programme consists of drilling, milling and threading tools designed for general purpose machining and multi-application production environments.
Throughout our history we have continued to innovate, invent and embrace change with particular emphasis placed on the development of new customer services designed to simplify tool selection, ordering and usage.
In 2014, the merger with indexable tooling specialist Pramet Tools was instigated. The combined product programme now gives our customers access to a comprehensive programme of both indexable and rotary drilling, milling, threading and turning tools from one single source.
An expanded sales and technical support service extends market coverage to over 30 offices serving more than 100 markets worldwide. These are supported by state-of-the-art production facilities in Europe and South America and a global distribution network consisting of five strategically placed hubs.
The position would directly report to Regional Sales Manager, below please refer to the job description:
Key performance areas:
? The sales engineers will guarantee an effective and efficient sales development within his/her territory for the brands Dormer&Pramet, through the creation of an appropriate distributor network.
? Liaising with the internal and external sale force, he/she will collaborate for the technical and commercial promotion of our products on the market in alignment with the strategy defined by the Managing Director of the Company.
? He/she will collect information about clients, the market and competitors in order to contribute to the development of the sales strategy.
Your profile:
? Engineering background
? University degree preferably in mechanical engineering
? Min 3 years’ experience with preferably indexable cutting tool applications
? China market knowledge
? Experience of managing distributor networks
? Good commercial skills
? Knowledge of English (optional)
? Good inter-personal skills
? Problem-solving and sales attitude
? Planning and organization skills and ability to work under pressure according to targets
? Availability to travel mainly within China
