Job Responsibilities:

1. Contribute the design and development of creative and cost-effective concepts and solutions for new product development as well as participate in current products improvements based on market needs and technological innovations;

2. Support the ideation, design and implementation of high precision parts, systems and final products;

3. Contribute in feasibility  studies and testing on new and modified designs;

4. Utilize your engineering  capabilities to support projects in a variety of industrial markets, with a  focus on Industry 4.0 solutions.

Job Requirements:

1. Mechanical Engineering degree;

2. Fluent in English, and ideally with good command of german language;

3. At least 3 years of CAD 3D Modelling/Drafting experience (Solidworks) in the field of high-precision optical and mechanical systems, or mechatronics;

4. Even better if complemented with experience in CAE simulation (thermal conduction, mechanical fatigue);

5. Technical documentation.  Creation and maintenance in a PDM environment (Pro-File or equivalent);

6. Project Management experience in NPD phases and engineering changes of existing product ranges as both internal -cross-functional- and external -suppliers- coordination required;

7. Ability to apply DFM (Design for Manufacturing) principles and detect design standardization opportunities;

8. Familiar with laser cutting/welding process;

9. Goal oriented, proactive and eager to learn;

10. After initial training, ability to work with little to none supervision in a fast-paced environment, and potential to supervise other colleagues;

11. Outspoken, honest and easy-going personality.
