Principal Responsibilities:

1. Fully understand the functionality, applicability and operation requirements of company products and equipment in the Laser Application Lab;
2. Conduct laser application tests in the Laser Application Lab as requested by application manager, sales managers and/or customers;
3. Analyze the process quality, optimize the process parameters, documented the test data and report the test results;
4. Provide application consultation and support for sales dept. and service team;
5. Provide remote or onsite application support for customers;
6. Assist the field system commissioning and application test;
7. Install, maintain, operate and manage laser application equipment, accessories, samples and tools in the Laser Application Lab.

General requirements: 

1. Fully understand industry practices and company policies and procedures;
2. Resolve a wide range of issues in both empirical methods and innovative ways;
3. Work on problems of diverse scopes where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors;
4. Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions;
5. Interact with senior internal professionals in both local and global offices and external personnel;
6. Normally receives little instruction on daily work, general instructions on new assignments. 

Mandatory requirements:

1. A Bachelor degree or above with solid engineering background and a minimum of 3 years experience in laser welding;
2. Experience with ABB robot systems, in programming, communications (DeviceNET) and control (Mandatory);
3. Fluent oral English and proficient English reading and writing skills;
4. Good communication skills and teamwork;
5. Capability to work under pressure.
