Promens Plastics Taicang has an opening for a production supervisor.
This position will require a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar level position in a production or engineering company. You must understand machinery. You must understand QC methods. You must also understand plastics.
The production supervisor will be responsible for forward planning production against sales expectations and ensure daily production to meet those targets.
He/she will also be responsible for MRP, maintaining stock levels of raw materials and other consumables and ensure there are no line stops.
This position is expected to be around 25% office based and 75% shop floor based. The production operators will require hands on assistance to get production bottlenecks cleared. The production supervisor will be expected to take over operator position were staff absences demand.
You must have excellent English speaking, reading and writing skills. The English GM will test you.
You will have the ability to control a number of operators of varying levels of skills and experience over 3 shifts and provide guidance and control to their daily functions and production output keeping overtime to a minimum.
You will maintain and advise on training programs for all staff under your control.
Diplomatic liaison with QA engineers, maintenance personnel and senior management is expected.
