A wholly foreign owned enterprise in Su zhou, is focus on rubber and plastic gasket producing and selling.
The company has rubber molding and punching production line, presuming on high level marketing development and client service in North America and China. Now the company has over 100 employees.
Title: General Manager
Location: Tai Cang, Jiangsu Province
Report to: President
Objectives:
We are looking for a General Manager in Tai Cang Factory. The role of this General Manager will provide a comprehensive management to make sure the factory operate smoothly for all Company businesses in China; will be responsible for the marketing development, internal management, coordination and delivery of all aspects of manufacturing process, purchasing, inventory, workshop, equipment maintaining, production planning and quality control, In addition to these responsibilities, the Manager will be expected to facilitate the set-up of the new organization by being involved in staffing, establishment of facility, Training, budget and cost control etc.
Candidate profile and responsibilities
? A Entrepreneurship with professional management skill, and customer services oriented towards business satisfaction;
? A strong trouble shooter with good judgment, initiatively manner. Need to bring solutions rather than problems.
? A strong and smart negotiator to negotiate with Asian factories to adapt North American standards ;
? A candidate with good Leadership and project management skill, such as time management, cost control.
? A candidate that works under pressure, self-motivated, aggressive spirit.
Project /Practice Management
? Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
? Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.
? Reviews deliverables prepared by team before passing to client.
? Effectively applies our methodology and enforces project standards.
? Prepares for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures.
? Minimizes our exposure and risk on project.
? Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
Communication
? Facilitates team meetings effectively.
? A strong and constant communicator to communicate with the Canadian headquarter to understand their requirements and expectations;
? Effectively communicates relevant company information to superiors.
? Delivers engaging, informative, well-organized presentations.
? Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion.
? Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
Teamwork
? Consistently acknowledges and appreciates each team member's contributions.
? Effectively utilizes each team member to his/her fullest potential.
? Keeps track of lessons learned and shares those lessons with team members.
? Plans and facilitates regular team activities outside of the office.
Client Management
? Manages day-to-day client interaction.
? Sets and manages client expectations.
? Communicates effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions.
? Continually seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.
? Builds a knowledge base of each client's business, organization and objectives.
Requirements:
? Must have a rubber parts back ground, over 10 years management position, at least two years General/plant/Operation manager experience in rubber products factory.
? Bachelor degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or Industry Engineering.
? Expertise in manufacturing process of mold rubber and die-cut parts, including R& D, compound mixing additives, curing, trimming and packing, as well as plant safety
? Leadership to take position with suppliers and them on board with our objectives is a must.
? Judgment, experience, competence and leadership will enable the candidate to achieve impeccable decision making. We want to prevent any decision based on misleading information from suppliers.
? Frequent phone calls early morning or late night due to communicate with North American team.
? Must perform using MS project, Excel, Solid Works, Outlook
? English speaking has to be impeccable
? Once a year travel to Canada for 1-2 weeks period.
