Main tasks:
1st & 2nd Level Support for local Users
- Process IT Equipment (Client & Data Center Infrastructure) Change Requests
- Monitor and maintain the systems including inventory
- Support IT projects at division level
- Implement workstation initiatives (e.g. technology refreshes, hardware upgrades, client connectivity requirements, standards)
- On-going maintenance and support of desktops, notebooks and workstations.
- Monitor local server environment, backups and restore data on request
- Supervise and manage local area network (LAN), telephone system and building access system
- Asset Management of all hardware components and software licenses
- Configuration and testing of new and existing operating system software
- Fault diagnosis and resolution
- Design and documentation of infrastructure
- Liaise with projects teams, follow corporate standards and execute divisional initiatives
- Maintenance ERP system (iScala)
- Communicating with BG Asia IT to ensure the implementation of corporate IT standards
Required experience:
- Minimum 2 – 3 year experience in IT helpdesk, Knowledge of actual and former Microsoft products incl. Active Directory (level MCSA), network services and security (CISCO & Fortinet products), nice to have: knowledge in supporting Lotus Notes
Required qualifications:
- Completed apprenticeship related to IT
Good sense for service provisioning and commitment to support
- Good English skills and communication abilities, capable to work in an international environment and support users on distance
- College degree or above, major in computer sciences or related fields
- Quick learning ability and team spirit
- Willing to travel domestically
- Microsoft Server and Desktop Operating Systems (Windows 7/2003/2008), SQL Server 2005/2008
- Symantec Backup Exec or similar products.
- Networks:TCP/IP, Switches, Cabling Methods, LAN troubleshooting
- Lotus Notes client and Groupware Applications
- PC based packages: Microsoft product sets, Anti Virus
- An IT based qualification would be advantageous (i.e. MCSA)
