JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client is a famous German-owned large industrial automation company in Jinan.
Position Title:Purchasing Engineer(Capital goods and services)

Location:Jinan
Reports To: Purchasing Department Manager
Subordinates: 0
Recruiters number:1 person
Recruitment deadline:31/06/2012

Major Responsibilities:
·Procurement of factory equipment as well as services for both factory production
plants in China (Jinan and Shanghai).
·Purchasing of non-production material for our production site in Jinan.
·Proactive and self-dependent sourcing as well as execution of related procurement
market analysis.
·Identification and build up of new suppliers as well as optimisation of existing
supplier base in terms of cost reduction and service improvement.
·Request for quotation, cost comparison as well as analysis.
·Negotiation and contract management.
·Close cooperation with other involved departments in terms of project management,
request for quotations, acceptance tests and invoice as well as payment process.
·Close cooperation with the Headquarter in Germany.
Key Competencies:
·Knowledge of purchasing processes, process competence as well as high quality
awareness.
·Negotiation skills.
·Good skills for self-organisation and systematic work approach.
·Decision making capability.
·Experience in project management.
·Good communication skills.
·Fluent in English, both speaking and writing.
·Good Microsoft Office software skills (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and
MS Outlook).
·SAP knowledge is preferred.

Education and Experience:
·University degree (Master/Bachelor).
·Mechanical Engineering or Business Administration with technical work
experience preferred.
·At least 3 years work experience in purchasing, experience in industrial area and a foreign enterprise is preferred.
