Primary Responsibilities:
? Design and develop and test embedded applications for cutting edge iOT and wireless systems built on emerging standards
? Create and maintain software requirements and design specifications
? Communicate with product management to understand requirements and produce design to specification
? Produce reliable and efficient code
? Conduct design reviews and ensure that the design is highly modular, portable and optimized for performance
? Design and develop and test embedded applications for cutting edge Audio, Video and whole home control solution
? Create and maintain software requirements and design specifications
? Communicate with product management to understand requirements and produce design to specification
? Participation in Industry Alliances and Standards Commitees
? Produce reliable and efficient code
? Conduct design reviews and ensure that the design is highly modular, portable and optimized for performance
? Work in a dynamic, fast-paced multi-site environment
? Works proactively with SQA to improve our test coverage and testing automation capability.
? Position may require some domestic and international travel

Qualifications:
? BS, MS preferred, in Computer Science or related technical field
? Minimum 4 years Embedded Software design and development
? C and Linux experience a must
? Experience with debugging tools in embedded environment
? Strong knowledge and understanding of networking protocols
? Experience with integrating open source tools and libraries is a plus
? Experience with object oriented design in C++ is a plus
? Detailed knowledge of Android and iOS is a plus
? Strong engineering and problem solving skills with attention to details, detect and define problem, analyze results, and determine possible solutions
? Experience with the use of source code management tools
? Documentation and ability for creating functional specifications
? The ideal candidate provides a demonstrated ability to develop and manage projects with minimal supervision
? Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast pace environment
? Demonstrated track record of delivering high quality software
? Detailed knowledge of Android and iOS a plus
