Responsibilities:

1.Understand the overall A. Schulman China business, and actively participate in the local Management Team.

2. Responsibility for managing raw material procurement function for A. Schulman China.

- Build and maintain good relationships with existing suppliers.

- Identify new potential suppliers.

-Negotiate competitive pricing and payment terms with suppliers that are not covered by regional or global agreements.

-Ensure purchase orders are issued, and forecasts provided to suppliers (if required) in a timely manner.

-Evaluate and manage supplier performance, including any non-conformity such as quality / logistics issues.

3. Forecasting & Planning.

-Coordinate with sales department to ensure forecasting and orders are communicated in an accurate and timely manner.

-Oversee production planning, to ensure finished products stocks remain at agreed levels and that customer orders are delivered in full on time. Ensure good internal communication on production planning.

- Oversee raw material forecasting process and stock levels to achieve targets and improve working capital.

4.Logistics

- Ensure timely ERP system receipting of incoming raw materials and finished products,

-Organisation of the raw material and finished product warehouses.

-Internal control of material movements between warehouses and production.

-Management of suppliers of haulage (truck delivery) and freight forwarding (import agents).

5.People Management - Coaching, training and performance management of the Purchasing Supervisor, Planner, Logistics staff, and Raw Materials / Finished Goods Warehouse Staff.

6.Assist with implementation of internal and/or externally audited Quality Systems adopted by the company.

7. Responsible for local implementation of regional and global policies relating to supply chain.

8. Participation in regional (Asia Pacific) Supply Chain team meetings and projects.

Requirments

Must have 5-10 years experience in Supply Chain management, preferably in a multipl-cultural manufacturing environment.

Must have experience in selling / trading material into the China domestic market.

Must have good understanding of International Trade (Import / Export).
