职位描述：
Job Purpose:
Product cost expert responsible to achieve a cost / design optimal cost

Key areas of accountability:
1.To calculate and cost estimate for plastic related area for global including China, Malaysia Mexico and Europe
2.To be the interface in an RFQ between R&D/Purchasing in order to achieve a cost / design optimal cost.
3.Understand product designs/specs, manufacturing process in order to understand cost drivers and impact on cost models.
4.Build-up and maintain a cost model for plastic related area
5.Develop cost tool which allows engineering to compare technical choices
6.To work closely together with the commodity manager in order to understand the long term cost strategy
7.To be an advisor towards an optimal product design in an interface between the RFQ-leader/business and the CRS.
8.To be driver to maintain a high level of standardization for his components
9.To be manager for his area the key knowledge information in a structured way
10.Support purchasing into analyzing purchase prices in order to reach the optimum price level
11.Ensure on time delivery of the cost calculation towards the Business case and RFQ leader

Job scope:
Cost expert working as an expert to calculate and estimate cost prices and to achieve a cost design optimal cost. Work with people across the organisation (commodity managers, purchasers, development engineers, project managers, Business case/RFQ leader)

Qualification:
Academic/Professional Qualification: Bachelor degree or above with technical background
Working Experience: 8 years above experience in costing, purchasing or engineering of tooling and plastic, experience in working in tooling house or plastic molders is preferred
Expertise / Skills: Knowledge in plastic and mechanical
Language skills: Good oral and written English
Personal Attributes:
-Strong analytical skills and being able to set-up and manage cost model
-Good coordination and strong interpersonal skill,
-Being able work in a multi-disciplinary environment working with people from various levels
