Mechanical Engineer
Reports to: Engineering Manager
Major Responsibilities:
· Responsible for the mechanical design of pressure and flow products which is for pressure and flow control and measurement.
· Work with a team of highly qualified engineers to generate the overall design concept for the mechanical system as well as the detailed design of the mechanical components which include pressure control, dynamic gas or hydraulic flow control, seal design, sheet metal stampings, plastic/rubber parts.
· Apply sound engineering knowledge in the development of the products to meet stringent specifications
· Ability to express technical matters adequately both orally and in writing.
Qualifications:
· A bachelor degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
· Minimum 3 years experience in product design/development.
· Experience of pressure and flow related control and measurement products design, vibration testing and design, seal design (dynamic and static seals), are added advantage.
· Ability to utilize latest CAD tools such as Pro/E.
· Knowledge of Pro-E and Ansys mechanical design and FEA analysis software, or similar software is added advantage.
· Experience and knowledge in pressure vessel safety is added advantage
· Extensive hands-on product development experience, from conceptualization to prototyping, test and verification, and manufacturing at pilot and mass production levels.
· Demonstrated use of statistical tools in design selection, failure predictions, design optimization, problem solving, root cause analysis and verifications at all stages of product development. Utilization of Six Sigma tools in product development will be an advantage.
· Experience and knowledge in injection molding/casting/sheet metal tools are required and mastering them is added advantage.
· Critical thinking and strong technical fundamental are required to make an effective technical decision.
· Knowledge of IEC61010 standard will be an advantage.
