Job Responsibility :
1. Coordinates the entire RFX process and related documentation. Recommends improvements to the process and implements as approved. Administers the RFX Compliance program to ensure mutually agreed targets are met.
2. Raw Material/Margin Compliance. Ensure Quoted BOM’s are met as prescribed in the Quoting Process.
3. Recommends innovative solutions that will result in cost savings and increase value to the company.
4. Updates the Item Master with negotiated Terms and Conditions to ensure compliance to negotiated contract terms and conditions.
5. Performs Supplier Performance Management Presentations (data gathering, analysis and present findings, follow up Corrective actions and C.I. initiatives)
6. Manage a specific set of Strategic Customers’ Procurement ( Forecasting, Ordering, Expedite/De-Expedite, EOL, NPI, Effectivity etc)
7. Supports strategic sources of supply by negotiating bond reserve/safety stock situations for raw materials. Establishes a mechanism with each source of supply for reporting on a regular basis their current bond situation.
8. Advises internal stakeholders on all material issues as they relate to continuity of supply and or cost issues. Participates in regular meetings to discuss and review issues that affect customer commitments.( attend Staff Meetings, MR’s and DRR)
9. Assists in the ongoing reduction of the vendor base to reduce administration costs and increase control over commodities purchased. Develops plans that support this strategic direction.
10. Works closely with Project Managers in Burlington and HK to ensure seamless Quoting Process and subsequent ordering disciplines.
11. Works closely with Customer Service for Goods and Services .
12. Supports Global SCM functions consistent with department metrics and measurement (PPV, Days on Hand and Supplier Performance Management, etc.).
13. Responsible for the research and review of Efficiency Program initiatives ( i.e. Kanban, Containerization)
14. Performs back-up functions for Buyers (e.g. during periods of absence).
15. Place purchase order to supplier and get Po confirmation on time.
16. Work with planner closely to prevent material shortages, Follow purchasing process to cope with urgent demand and spike order from customer.
17. Improving supplier on time delivery performance to satisfy internal & external customer requirement
18. Follow Just-in-time delivery rule and control inventory under setting goal.
19. Work along with SQE team to resolve part quality and reliability issue with vendors
20. Co-work with accounting Dept. for payment reconciliation with suppliers, Punctually to solve problem invoice.

Qualifications:

Associate degree and above
Minimum 5-7 year direct materials experience preferably in an OEM/ODM/CEM environment sourcing, negotiating, purchasing and managing electro-mechanical, electronic components and assemblies.
Excellent understanding and use of the MS Office Professional 2010 software package (Word, Excel and Outlook, Access). Must be able to perform V-Lookup, create pivot tables and work with “Data Marts/Cubes”
Working knowledge of computerized inventory control systems, previous exposure to a Material Resources Planning (MRP/ERP) system. Visual Manufacturing preferred. SAP, Oracle acceptable
Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electro-mechanical drawings, some experience with block diagrams and some familiarity with 3D modeling tools.
Ability to communicate in English (Oral and Written)
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) are required in dealing with vendors as well as all levels of staff.
Professional approach in business dealings as well as appropriate negotiation skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities in understanding cost and efficiency performance requirements.
Excellent working, practical and industry experience with quality standards and their application to the supplier base. ISO/TS16949 /9001/13485 preferred
Excellent working, practical and industry experience with modern purchasing methods and a creative thinker. I.e. EDI, Kan/Ban/Bar Coding technologies
Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail is required to prioritize and manage a variety of tasks in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
